4 wheel sliding on roundabouts is quite common on roundabouts if is wet and you judge your speed wrong. Just be careful and your fine;)

Recently bought 4 x Toyo Proxy PX4's for ~£200 delivered... brilliant as far as I can tell, grip a lot better than the cheap 'accelero' crap that I did have

Used to have T1-R's on my old car, and tbh can't find any difference between those and the PX4's!

My 2 cents....

I've got Eagle F1's on a petrol FR - original set were Michelin Pilot HX (now superceeded by the Exalto PE2). The Michelins were a great tyre and hard wearing but you will pay a bit extra for them (around £390 for set of 4).

The good years are quieter and will hold on longer before understeer starts to manifest itself but they don't feel quite as crisp as the Michelins did, they are cheaper though (expect about £300 - 330 for a set) but the trade off is that they are softer so have a reduced life.

My mate has got Pirelli pzero's on his FR and he doesn't rate them, I drove it and I have to admit I wasn;t blown away either.

I hate P-zero's with a passion. Had them as original tyres and i could wait to get them off. Theyre w***!

I guess that sums up the opinion on P-Zero's!

On another thread somewhere there have also been a few negative comments about them, I don't think they are a good tyre for the Ibiza and I wasn't keen on them either - my mate was going to change his but is selling his motor now so hasn't bothered.

Approx 2500 miles ago I put on 4x Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3's and they are very grippy, dont think I can fault them except maybe the wearing and price!

If you got the money and want brilliant grip in wet and dry then these are the ones for you! I had GS-D2's on before and they were also very good.

I think next time around ill try the Proxies because they have good reviews and a little cheaper so cant do any harm really! I had T1S Proxies on my old Saxo and they were brilliant so think I might return and see what they are like on the Beeza.

I would definatly recommend the GSD3's but they are a wee on the expensive side.

Ive always been told to keep away from P-Zero's!!!!

Hope that helps!

Hi guys thanks for replies - been all over for goodyears, but there has been a back order! Can;t get them anywhere for a while. Got told TR1's were really soft and wont last long at all. Just gonna drive steady and find some goodyears i think.

Cheers

Oh one last thing do the goodyears wear well ?

Thanks

depends on how you drive really. I got about 12,000 miles from mine with very heavy driving to the point where they became illegal, but some people get up to 25,000 from them.

Order your tires offline! Much cheaper and convienent.

Give blackcircles a go! Ordered my tires, day later went down to the fitting center and got them fitted.

As Poverty said try Black Circles and when you get to the checkout enter this code for 5% off "RANDS17" ;)

Goodyear F1 are best all round tyre .. BUT they are poop in the snow (well ice).. they really are (used to park the car with them on slick ice and walk).. for this reason I stay will the not too good P-Zeros.. they are better than the old P5000 that used to turn grip off with the windscreen wipers (damp was fine .. but as soon as the wipers were on you lost 20-30% grip)... plus I have 5 tyres the same... a bit cheaper too.

So for soft southerners... F1 work:rolleyes: .. but if you get to far North then reconsider. Not sure the Toyos were better/worse in ice/snow but as an all rounder they are pretty much same as F1.

Eagle F1's are really good tyres, but they are being discontinued to be replaced by the asymetricos, pretty expensive as well. I've currently got some Falken 912's on mine, 60 quid each, really good dry grip the wet grip leaves a bit to be desired though.

i heard some good things about goodyear F1's so i bought the assymetrics for my 350bhp 200sx and the GSD3's for the missus's FR. The assemetrics are beyond belief, they are truly amazing, but the GSD3's on the FR were shocking! understeer central!! thankfully they didn't last too long and i managed to get someone to buy the as new rears and went for a full set of falken 452's.... they're the future.
