Ibiza TDI Sport Test Video

I haven't seen this mentioned recently but here is a link to a rather nice video of a German test of an Ibiza TDI Sport. I have had a copy on my computer for a long time but haven't been able to find a link to it until now.

It's a Quicktime file and for some reason is labelled 'Leon' but is actually an Ibiza. It's right at the bottom of page 1.

Shame it all nerated in German but u get the jist looked good.

Impressed with the Handling times round there track only 1.84sec of the Evo VII and only 0.17sec of from the Mini Cooper S & it beat the Audi A3 2.0 TDI so pretty good all in all according to the vid especially for a TDI.

Notice they timed the 0-62 sprint at 8.8 seconds, which is probably about right. There is also a Leon Cupra R test on there. They don't give all the test figures for that but the 0-62 time was 6.9 seconds. The braking distance for the Ibiza was marginally better than the Leon (so much for the lousy brakes on the Ibiza!) and the break away speed on the skid pan was 48.0 for the Leon and 52.7 for the Ibiza.
