ICE Problems

Hi,

First post so hopefully this is the right group.

the CD autochanger on the standard ICE on my 02 Leon TDI is playing up. Model is the Aura.

the display on the head unit shows CD ERROR when a CD is in any one or all 6 of the CD autochanger slots. The rest of the head unit works fine. I've tried using a CD head cleaner and to no avail.

Any ideas where the problem lays and how resolve it? I'm a fix it first type person so buying a replacement is a last option.

not much help but,mine did the same.packed up big time.i like my tunes when i,m driveing so i put a hole new sound system in.tons better than the standerd crap that was in there.

can't help really. If you need to replace the CD changer maybe a breakers will have one? There are a few other VAG cars with the same changer, the Audi TT is one of them...

NOTE: I know of a TT changer that worked on an Aura HU - plug straight in, but maybe other TT's have different ones im not sure, check.

had same issue with mine, and turned out the cartridge was at fault.
my local changed foc under warranty

hate to suggest the obvious, but you have checked the discs aren't upside down, haven't you?
