as said before i've experienced both milteks and john ashley exhaust set up , and not only felt gains on the road but seen on dyno better gains from john's system as well , bare in mind ther was £375 quid difference in price as well , just think it's a bit much for what you actually get , and also i get life time warranty parts on labour , would never go back to milteks

i am currently looking around at exhausts, where is john ashley based?? have you got any pics or sound clips of yours?

£900 for an exhaust system?! Mental. I paid £300 for a full custom turbo back system and its insane!

+1 and I bet you it's a million times better then the Milltek system I have on mine.......

....... Can't wait to sell it and go back to custom

damn.
so perhaps milltek is simply not worth the money if i can get a custom one turbo back for half the price (with the same outcome)

maybe have a look at this john ashley setup:think:

What problems have you had with your Milltek ?
If you have a problem with your Milltek system maybe you should try contacting them with your issues, they are very friendly people.

I had my non-res cat back on for over 2 years with NO problems at all,
I'm now running the Milltek 3" DP 200 cell cat and revised non res center and back section's with the new oval tail pipe, which has again been faultless.
The cat back system's arent the loudest in the world but they do give of a nice sound, add a 3" DP and 200cell cat or de-cat and the sound is even better.

There are also plenty of other Milltek owners on SCN that have Milltek systems.

I've had Millteks on 3 cars now and they have all been faultless. I don't reckon you get anything like 15% more go, but they do give an edge most definitely. The best result I got was on my Leon FR PD150 with the full turbo back system. Much better response with much earlier spool up.

On all 3 cars the systems have had a great sound without it turning all "boy racer" or being boomy on motorway trips. The quality of the fixings, the joints and the finish is top notch, and I'd recommend them without a doubt. The thing is though, it all depends what you want from it - like anything generic or off-the-shelf, its not going to suit everyones tastes.

amd thats my point exaclty like generic maps versus custom maps , must be honest my milteks experience wasn't the best starting rattling off the rear beam after 2 months but was sorted , it wasn't much louder than standard i would say that might suit the masses, the system look great don't get me wrong and was alot better than stanadard system but wasn' t best for performance and for value imo

It a miltek is much diffference in noise to a standard system y bother paying the difference? I sm very interested in whos get a full exhaust system for £300! Details please! :)

Think blueflame has guite a good rep. To if you want a quiter exhaust then as said custom can accomodate that.

milltek are not quiet exhaust systems when fitted with a decat. i had the non res version and i found it to be too loud. i now have the resonated version, its nice when driving normal and when giving it the beans it sound very mean :)
