Hi,

I have a cupra with a hybrid turbo and a map done by our favourite mapper.

I have an induction kit and a after market down pipe.

I have been rolling roaded at 225 bhp.

When i give the cupra some beans it boosts well for 10 mins or so then i lose all boost pressure. A simple reboot will give me boost back.

I have no front mount.

Im just woundering if things are getting to hot or perhaps a sensor is on its way out. I must admit i have no experiance of this fault in the winter... Not sure if the hot weather is just to much for her!!

I would imagine it is getting hot, do you get any lights on the dash when you loose boost?

Have it checked with vag-com, i know when i had a problem for some reason the engine managment light didn't come on but the car was in limp mode.

Does the boost just go altogether or gradually?

I would imagine, if it's the heat thats doing it, it would gradually knock back until you could feel it.

If it goes completely get vag-com on the case.

PS. Your talking to an internet mechanic here, so someone with a bit of knowhow might be along soon and blow me out of the water ;)

I was getting this now and again. After doing an N249 bypass it's never happened since.
My vac pipes were changed for silicon ones so no splits/leaks but was getting this loss of boost now and again. Totally baffled me but did the job.
Might be worth giving it a go.

This is the limit of my knowladge past to me by the previous owner

NO front mount.

Think that is all the mods it has

FMIC is in dire need then with 225bhp!

Which turbo/mapper?
