Smart move! They are great cars and should have better residuals! Mine's gonna be sold back to the dealers this week, seems crazy that these cars don' t seem to generate any interest at all, if I didn't have to get into the house thing I'd certainly be keeping mine as I still love it!

Mine was advertised for two weeks and had no phone calls at all, I had one woman email me offering me 7k as she was looking for a "yellow seat". Seems to be that not a lot of people know about them and its hard to sell them as a lot of people dont want to spend that amount of money on a SEAT Ibiza. Got 12 days and 1/4 tank of petrol left with the car & need to remove the Induction Kit, Remap and possibly Dumpvalve if I find the original

what spec is the 350 you are gtting. Any NISMO bits on it.

You may want to read Autocar as they are modding there long term car with every NISMO extra available.

Been keeping an eye on the autocar 350 but im keeping this standard for a while as the parts are really expensive. Got 53 plate Gunmetal with GT Pack, Alezan leather interior, Rays alloys. No Nismo bits yet  . May look at just getting the Nismo spoiler as im not to fussed on the whole kit, But nothing will be done until next year.

Guys: Ive just traded in a smart forfour BRABUS, 05/05 26k in silver with all the toys. It cost me nigh on £18k new, I got £8350 in PX from White Duff. The smart dealer I got it from said he was doing me a favour offering me £6.5k then £7k. So i've lost more on the old one than i'm spending on the new one...........

I dont think SEAT have done you any favours in the way they've cut the prices on some models tho. Insurance groups on the Cupra wont help either - the FR's now look so similar and are much cheaper to insure.

Nice one.

Would love one too. Been fancying getting myself something new but think that keeping the Civic is the best thing for me at the moment!

Good luck and I'll keep my eye out for you.

What part are you from?

Agree that the FR doesnt help the Cupra prices at all & the fact that the dealers around here have dropped the prices on the Cupra to about 13k. Insurance is silly also, its only costing me £60 a year more to insure the 350 over the best quote for the Cupra as standard, its more to insure the Cupra with the mods declared. Fantastic car though, have loved every minute of it and it still makes me smile when I drive it, Will definatley miss not having a turbo, although there is a twin turbo kit available for the zed:whistle:

As im an old duffer insurance isnt a problem for me, but by changing to the Ibiza i've cut my premium in half. I'd have loved an FR TDi or a Cupra TDi but im gonna be doing 20k a year in it, so its gonna kill the resale whatever i buy - so pay less and lose less.

I love the 350Z tho :p

Possibly, theres quite a few around at the moment though and all at varying prices. I know though that if I kept it id have spent more money on it just because i was keeping it a bit longer and would have been harder to shift if I had changed the exhaust/dp/cat as planned.

nope, its always been hard to sell 10k cars, reason being is people usually need the readies to buy privatly. And people being people are too lazy to sort out loans or even sell there car, so they tend to shop at the delaers as its easier, even if they do loese out.

I am sitting here feeling rather smug when i think what i just Px'd mine for against a £10300 car, i managed to get £8300 on mine px against the Mini. Yes i have gone older but i suppose up a little in the quality stakes ( i hope touching shite loads of wood around me).

Scary though the amount cars lose now, and it doe'nt seem to matter what you have, still could be worse could have bought a Rover MG ZTR just before rover went bust, now thats depreciation

Aberdare mate.

Currently work in Bridgend so travel down the A470 every day but got a new job over in Pontypool as of the 6th of November.

Insurance: Really? Having some silly quotes for the Type R at the moment. I've got 7 years NCB and they still want stupid money to insure my car! :ban:

I worked in bridgend for a couple of years, it can be a real nightmare getting there at times. Insurance for the 350 is £840ish and the cupra insured as standard was £780 or £866 with all the mods declared. 11 days to go, i cant wait though.
