I have 6 on my list: BOV, Lowering, Exhaust (for performance and sound), Sideskirts, Air-Intake, Remap

I'm thinking as each one will affect another, what is the best order to do mods? For e.g. doing re-map first before exahst and air intake will require another remap to ensure engine utilizes the 2 mods? How about the BOV, this will affect air intake? so best to do after air intake. Also I can't lower first then get the side skirts and may realise the car is too low? All very confusing for me. Thanks. There must be the one right answer.

First do the body mods before performance if you're worried about looks. So do skirts and then lower it. Once that's all done start with the engine, BOV, intake kit, exhaust and then map it.

Thanks JC.....see you in North London...you have the map but not done the air intake and exhaust?

Yup, got the revo done at inters this year. Milltek will be releasing their exhaust end december................

Jc, can you tell me please what the current problem is with the standard air intake and exhaust? I mean, if these are already good why would you change them? Is that why it seems most people have skipped on the air intake and exhaust on their cupra's and straight to re-map?

Not really mate, REVO do their maps to get the best out of the car as it is. If you're going to be changing other stuff like intake and exhaust then you may want to look at getting a custom map done to utilise the best of the engine. Intake will just improve air flow so yes, even with a map you will get better response times and the BOV does nothing but make a nice tssshhh sound if you're into that kind of thing, FORGE have the twintercooler too which will lower intake temps = better performance and exhaust helps with getting rid of gasses if you're going bibber bore. Milltek are doing two versions from my discussions I have had with them. I am in talks with INA engineering in the USA with regards to an uprated clutch kit for these DSG boxes so that they can be mapped to handle more torque.

oh, so you are saying that with the new air intake and exhaust the standard revo map won't be able to utilise the potential of the set up? therefore one would need a custom re-map? Revo do custom re-maps?

You'd have to get a custom map by someone like P-torque to take full advantage of a new exhaust and remap. The Revo is just a stage 1, which means it was designed for the stock car. The revo + ITG still makes 230BHP so its still a decent bet.

My recommendations are. If you have racing brakes your fine, if not upgrade the standard ones with better pads and or larger disks.
Then do the suspension (The skirts can be added any time you like).

The engine mods would then be next now you've sorted your chassis. If you go revo it doesn't matter what order you do the other mods, exhaust filter etc. If you go custom map obviously you'd need the exhaust and filter first. The BOV does not add any performance its purely audible fun so again can be added when ever you like.

i think revo will release remap stage 2 or sth after milltek or blueflame exhaust is ready!
since now without any available exhaust theres no point of stage 2 :p

I have always had my remaps first..... except with the skoda as i rebuilt that and added a hybrid turbo.

I always sort brakes and suspension first. Its much more important to be able to stop or not under steer into a hedge. A remap will just help you do it faster if your car is not set up properly.
