just wondering what other exterior goodies the cupra has...

Apart from the altered bodykit, the exhaust , brakes and the fact is says "cupra" on the back, there is no real "look at me" factor to it, if you know what i mean.

has any one personalised theirs to draw attention to the fact you have a much faster, expensive motor and not just a plain old leon?

Do you really want to draw attention to yourself and get pulled by the fuzz every other day?

Not in that way. i know what your saying, but thats not what i mean by drawing attention... for example, the civic and civic type R look the same, but when you see that type R badge on the back, you know instantly what it is.

i know the old shape cupras had a nice little badge in bottom right. but this new model just says cupra in exactly the same style and colour as a normal leon would say leon ! its as if they didnt care?

Single oval pipe, red calipers and if they have a keen eye, the cupra alloys. Better to blend in anyway I would have thought. Esp coming from a car that was as blendable as the other shopping trolleys.

have to think about thieves as well unfortunatley :(

You should lower it though, for sure!

Maybe debadging? Darker rear lights.

So, the CTR has a badge on the back and you notice that, but the Cupra's badge you don't?

Anyway, it's also got black mirrors :D

Thought about the lights , because the front ones look so nice, the silly read rears let it down... How about adding a cupra flag style logo to the bottom right? or will that just tack it up completely.. not sure :(

Sure. Ace Cafe sounds good to me.

nice one mate

Well i doubt many of the "ordinary" folk out there would know the difference between a leon and a cupra... if it said Leon then cupra in red or something, then people would certainly get the picture ! after all it still is classed as a leon isnt it !??

I collected my Cupra in July and that is 08. I think any built after June are the 08 spec.

The only difference though is the front grill and I believe the smoker pack might have been deleted.

Oh and the prices went up as well. Lucklily I ordered mine about 2 days before the prices went up.

I think the black mirrors really let it down, maybe some chrom M3 with LED indicators would allow you to stand out

Seriously, STEALTH is the way forward, had a friends Meganne 225 on saturday, it was quite embarassing the amount of attension it drew
sounds great.. why don't i get a sunstrip while im at it LOL !!!

I will have to live with blending in i suppose . as there is no way of doing with without chavving it up

I agree stealth is the way forward, although I think a subtle spoiler at the back should be standard.

The insurance would become a nightmare if I added anything though, even though I have about 14 years no claims it is expensive enough as it is.

What is that matt black bit (often referred too as a a diffuser or mock diffuser) all about on the FR/Cupra? I think it spoils the look of the car...

Stealth is always the way forward, I agree. I am surprised you want someting that stands out, given the stealth factor on your last car. Well sleeper quality anyway.

Mine was always std looking as you can well remember. The IC was hidden and not custom cut, exhaust was tucked away and the bodywork was left as it left the factory.

To be fair though, thinking back, the Punto was always going to stand out if it was a nice example.

If you want to 'customise' it, you are probably better off with subtle mods as the standard form is already menacing enough and lairy looking.

Lowering would be a good start, maybe some heavier tints on the rear windows, possibly even a milltek if funds allow.

Remap would be the best thing in the first instance.
