induction kit or panel filter HELP

Ok it time to start with the mods, i have been reading the forum for about a mounth now i have a 04 lcr with 42k on the clock and it is all standard. First thing is going to be air. But what is best cone k/n type filter or smooted and drilled air box with pannel filter not to fussed about more noise etc or a bit more power if it means playing it safe with a pannel filter any thoughts on whats best for the car? Next will be forge 007 and the n249 change but i will need some help with that one but i am keen to start.

Panel filter and mod the airbox.

Personally I would leave the N249 alone, Seat put it there for a reason so leave it, I know a lot of people will say differently

panel filter and cold air feed. induction kit gets too much hot air and not much point, airbox with panel filter and cold air feed will do a better job.
