I had my first instance of blinding someone this weekend, but i think it was more to do with the location than anywhere else.

Narrow country road, hedges quite high on either side, following some large estate. I knew he wasnt happy by the way my lights kept highlighting his balding head. I slowed down to try and give him some distance, but he was going so slow i couldnt avoid it.

Sure enough, on came his fogs and he kept applying his brake lights, All i could do was shine my yellow full beam to show that i wasnt doing it on purpose. I think it was more to do with how bright they were rather than misaligned, had no problems with oncomming traffic.

mine were from diane-shop ebay £38 for the kit!! absolute steal and the quality looks good!! they are the 6000k ones and the amount of light that they emit is brilliant. as phil says you hardly have to use full beam now!!! just plug n play no cutting/soldering involved. just make sure you mount the ballasts out of site i think they look terrible right in your face like some people have mounted them!! i mounted mine : passenger side inside the light cover and drivers side i removed the water bottle and mounted on 8mm threaded hole where side mount intercooler used to be. Looks OE - brill!!!!!!!

right guys thats it done an dusted 1 set from diane-shop on ebay, thanks for all your input and help to get me a set , will post up when i have done my sidelight conversion to 10w bulbs this weekend

I just ordered a spare set of 6000K bulbs from Diane-shop as well. Only £17.50. Cheaper than a set of normal bulbs. :funk:

Where are people ordering these kits from and getting them on ebay £38 for the kit?

As I looked on diane link but not that cheap?

Any links or advice people?

Has anyone ever had issues using a HID kit (which is not actually legal due to installation in a reflective headlight etc.)? Read the last few paragraphs: http://www.phoenixautobulbs.co.uk/a...hts-how-to-get-the-xenon-lights-look-526.html

Yeah the legality has been covered quite extensively in a post somewhere, basically it seems that while aftermarket HID kits appear to be illegal by the regulations governing lighting this would also mean that factory fit ones would also be illegal as they are also not mentioned.

The bottom line is that if your lights are aligned and giving the beam pattern they should then theres very little that can be done, theres so little legislation and its so out of date.
