Info on Running no MAF pls

Is it dangerous to run an LC without a MAF for a few days?

After all the threads ive created about my problems, after going to westec and not finding the "correct" problem, i have found that my MAF is up the duff

As of this i have disconnected it as it runs a hell of a lot better than it used to (misfiring left right and center)

Stealers will have a new one for me on wednesday

so will it be ok to run it without one til then?

not really mate. not sure exactly but i think you could damage your cat.

i got mine from a local vw garage. its an exchange unit so swapped mine over in their car park.

Not telling you its OK, but I would use the car, but avoid full throttle.

it seemed to be running rich before hand to be fair, constant misfiring on all cylinders until i unplugged it,

i know its not the point but ill "try" to avoid it til wed, chars!

if the maf was under reading it was lean.

just drive sensibly... yes it runs a bit richer, its gong to be a hell of a lot better than with it on and causing misfires/backfires.
get it replaced ASAP tho

well stealers said it will be in 2moz so fingers crossed they dont screw me over as i need it. Dont like having two orangey yellow lights up on my dash.

Plus a mate in a 2.0 vtec prelude wants a race, hopeully my revo trial will help me prevail
