Infotainment Issues

Hi after having my seat leon for 3 months now I have had constant issues, from the beginning I have had parking sensors not working and coming up with errors about front assist. Apart from that now I have this "sound setting will be avaliable soon" message that has come up on the screen but seems to have stuck and I cannot use the screen now as it has greyed out and blocked the controls, I have no radio, limited heating setting access, no navigation, and complete in access to the Infotainment system. I have tried holding down the power button but to now joy as it just resets back to how it was, anyway to completely reset it or what I can do?

Can you access the Aircon settings by tapping the fan icon?

If not Hold the power button until you see the seat logo (takes about 15 seconds)?

Also does sliding the volume temperature sliders adjust what's on the screen?

Try leaving the car locked overnight and let it all restart?

What about if you put it in reverse can you interact with the parking sensor screen?

Can you see the maps on the dashboard?

if none of those help then you might be looking at a trip back to the dealer.

But by the sounds of it, it may of encountered an error when trying to load audio drivers or some sort of invalid sound config likely through no fault of your own.

When I click the fan button the heating controls come up behind this message so I can't click on anything as it's greyed out due to this pop up, I can use the physical buttons below to adjust temperature but that's it. The volume button brings the volume slider on the screen up but it won't go up or down in volume, when I put it in reverse the sensors come up working fine and I can Interact with it normally, I can even get the vehicle settings up by pressing the seat car (bottom right) however again it comes up behind this message so I cant see/press anything. I've tried the 15 seconds reset multiple times but no difference, I'll try leave it over night now but this has been happening since this morning so I'm doubtful. It seems like the entire screen is working fine however this message has come up blocking all interaction with the screen menus, (parking sensor menu which comes up in reverse is completely fine as it loads infront of this message)

I had a similar issue with my volume in the past when experiencing no sound through Android auto.

Can you hear beeps with the parking sensors?

Have you tried connecting Android auto/car play (providing you've used it in the past)?

The only way I see out of this is if you some how get into the infotainment settings for a factory reset, or the most likely a trip to the dealer where they would likely reflash/update the mib unit

Yeah the beeps work and can see the distance between objects all around car, iv tried connecting android auto and nothing changes on the screen however my phone recognises it connects and plays the music as if it would be going through the car but no sound actuslly comes out. That's what I'm trying to look for but I don't see anyway past this frozen message to go into the menus, and I can't find any physical way to reset unless I try to disconnect battery? Will that work?

Normally leaving it overnight would be the best first try. I don't know what other harm disconnecting the battery would do, alarm, etc

If it doesn't perk up then you would need to take it back to the dealer they might be able to factory reset it through obd, or clear the configs

It looks like you have the same AA issue as I did, dealer updated from 1664 to 1674 and I haven't had it since

I did once fix the AA sound issue I experienced, (I never had the sound settings message) by turning the ignition off -> opening driver's door -> closing it -> then turning ignition on, did them all in succession no need to wait more than a few seconds

Think that's the Windows / mirror reset if you disconnect the battery but other than that. Leon 4 manual. Retrain the Windows so they go back on one touch.

You would think you could force a reboot of the unit by the customary long hold on the on/off and it would reset.... but then some parts of the infotainment unit are designed to stay live with connected cars.... may be that's why the message reappears if a reboot is carried out

Hi, leaving it overnight didn't work however I've now managed to get the message away, I held the voice command button on the steering down which brought another pop up message up and got rid of the sound setting avaliable soon message. Which I am glad of as I booked the car in for the 6th of August at the earliest. Thanks for both of your help I will undoubtedly need your help again as this seems to be full of electrical issues
