Does anyone know what size injectors I have. It's a Cordoba Vario 1.9tdi 90bhp on a 2000 plate with the AGR engine. Also who would be good to ask about some upgraded injector nozzles. Cheers:funk:

im not sure about what sice injectors you have mate or who to ask for upgreades but have you got anything else done? i have read about people using pd 130/ 150 injectors/ nozzles so maybe that could be an upgrade? as far as i am aware they are easily bought from ebay brand new and genuine

the 110hp engine has 0.205mm nozzles
the 90hp tdi has 0.187mm

to upgrade 110hp tdi nozzles you have to buy .216mm nozzles that are from 5cyl 150hp 2.5tdi

raepaul, TDI 130 and above are PD engines, so have completely different injectors with a cam-driven pump included.

The larger injectors to provide more fuel delivery for a TDI 110 are those used in a T5 van engine, as nutzu says.

You can go much bigger than .216 as long as they're set up right, mine are about .232 but they also have very good flow charateristics and are good for around 180 with the right turbo and tune. Mpg's roughly around the same but the power is far superior and I've knocked 3 seconds off the 0-60 time, really chuffed with them.

I did a lot of reading on the tdiclub.com site after I'd posted this thread, loads of tuning info available.

if you upgrade more than one size you have to change the turbocharger because the original turbo will not make sufficient boost for the fuel injected and will be lots of black smoke.

aftermarket are bigger sizes ... iven 0.240mm but you have to make few mods to make them run ok at full capacity.

for 150bhp .216mm are ok whit a bigger turbo

pd injectors are a totally different thing

That's why you get them calibrated, mine are good for 180 as i said but I'm on the standard turbo for now, probably around 115. As for 150 you can make that on the standard vnt 15 on the likes of the ALH 90 with bigger holes and a tune.
This is the guy that set mine up and I can send them back to get re-calibrated later if I fit a bigger turbo and tune, I just need to tell him what I'm planning and he'll set them up to suit.

He's on the tdiclub site a lot when he's not dealing with nozzles or piloting a passenger jumbo jet.

But yeh you only need to change the turbo if you want to run the nozzles at maximum flow. :)
