intake question

hi...got my leon fr tdi booked in for revo nxt week which i cant wait for. But i was just reading a thread that said summit about changing the intake is cheap and can increase bhp a bit. Can anyone explain a bit more about the intake and if it will affect warranty and where to get it from and fitting it.

if its a mk4 ibiza u can get the cupra intake , apparrently flows more air , it does make it less laggy(feels that way) and more willing to rev

Only for the Ibiza Mk4 TDI I'm afraid Phil, as yours is a Leon it's not an option, unless you get some kind of induction kit

Back to the subject:

you'll get a bit of extra torque in the midrange and a bit easier breathing top end, but the effects will be rather small. Not to say that it won't be felt on the butt dyno but for what an induction/CAI costs, I don't think it's really worth it.
