Interior idea

They used some kind of plastic nossle on a vax jobbie and pushed to hard pulling the fibre, i tried Seat but the part is obsolete!

I really want to try and keep the red cupra stitching hence trying to get rid of as little as poss, not sure about red leather, just think all black would be nicer if I was gona go that route.

As I say im not paying!!

If your not paying get them to get new seats :D

I think you should put a thread up on here to see if anyone has a spare one rather than spend LOADS of money doing something you are not sure about?

i was thinking about maybe getting my inserts done in yellow leather and getting the cupra logo on each seat but i decided against it in the end decided to keep it standard, be interesting to see what it would look like though anybody seen this done before?

Well they havent told me what they are prepared to do yet but I got quoted £1500 for the seat inserts (the red bits) to be changed into leather. The difference is that is doctoring the original interior and not changin it completely. But the whole point of this post was that if they wont pay out for that I need to think of other options hence the leather insert on the base of the seat idea

Like i said yesterday, you should list your options and then present this to them

You could have:-

1. Full leather, complete change - As you have said they wont change so this ones not really possible

2. Get a used red insert seat from someone on here or Ebay - VERY possible

3. Get the leather seat bit like you said - Still a change so they may not agree to that

4. Dont do anything - Not really a good option when they are prepared to pay out for you

Is there any others?

1. Converting the half leather they may do but its unlikely due to the costs involved!

2. Not easy to source a red insert and as I said i doubt they will pay out for me to get one! They will want to deal directly with a trimming company.

3.This is the most likely I think as its cheapest for them and its still thru a company??

In an ideal world I would just want compensation to the tune of the cheapest quote IE £400, then I can try and source a red insert or leave it and keep the cash, but as I say I have a feeling that they wont want to give the money to me!

Why not just find a grey fabric to match, wont you get sweaty arse if you have leather on the bum?

Be less noticible then.
