Interior Lights

Hi,
Just noticed that the backlight for the air control knobs isn't working anymore?? The little a/c light and airflow one comes on but not for the other three dials. Could have done something when i was fitting the radio maybe?

yep, mine has been doing the same thing over the past couple of days. One way to get them working again........clence ones fist and thump the side of the dash beside the heater controls.

Trust me, this works. My fist is quite soar at present but!!

It could be the bulb's blown - worth checking as a slightly more scientific approach than using your fist!

The bulb is located behind the fan control knob - just pull the knob out and then use some needle-nosed pliers to pull the bulb out.

Replacement bulbs from Halfrauds or similar

My dash has been playing up for a few weeks not but the good old fist trick no longer works. Time to pull my knob off! I just hope it brings me pleasure (as in the ability to see my heater controls at night!!)

well, just went and pulled my knob out in the car and it appears the bulb has seen better days.......thanks Leigh for the help.

Hi guys,
Did a new bulb sort it? as just noticed mine this evening with the same fault. has happened a couple of times over last 7 months but a simple hit sorted out not now tho!

Yep, it sure did. When you pull out the bulb (you'll need a set of needle nosed pliars to get at the bulb) you will probably see that the top of the bulb has a black hue to it. (inside the glass that is.)

Pull the old bulb out and pop down to your local car accessory store for a replacement. I paid about 50 pence if my memory is correct.
