Good evening all.

I have a 2003 tdi sport pd130 and have been having abs problems for a week now. My car keeps blowing the 10 amp fuse (no.2) in the fuse box. This then leaves me without abs/TC, also I have the steering wheel light on the dash and no speedo. If I replace the fuse I can use the car for a while with no issues then the fuse will go again. My auto electrician with vcds is away until the 20th so a friend who's a mechanic was going to do some tests with a multimeter.
If any one could give me some pointers as to what I ought to be checking that would be great.

Thanks in advance
Aaron

Short or earthing issue.

Does the steering wheel light and no speedo problem happen at the same time, or is it independently of the fuse blowing issue?

All the warning lights come up together as well as the speedo not working. The fuse could blow on initial start up or after a period of time. There's no consistencies. I know people have issues with the 40 amp fuse on top of the battery blowing giving similar symptoms yet mine is only the 10 amp. I didn't know if the 10 amp was responsible for different parts of the ABS system?
