Great thread Invisible although, i got a red k1 with revo stage 1 map and it produced 290bhp. strange figures.

Looking at getting a recirc valve and Induction kit what would you recommend?

JUst make sure you have the Rev D DV, I wouldn't bother with anything else.

I have the ITG kit, you can see vids on this a few pages back on how it sounds and see it revving etc.

Personally I'd stick with one of the best known brands ITG / Forge Twintake. ITG is good just looks a bit ugly with the heatshield on

Really interested to see what difference it makes as I'm gonna get mine fitted in the next week or so.

before and after graphs suggest about 15bhp extra over stage 1_ITG with new Autotech HPFP and a map tweak.

You'll see much more advantage with DP / cat back as will really free up the restictions

Leaving struts and springs til last is a mistake in my opinion, but glad you are enjoying the progress of your car :)

I was pleased with the THS mounts, they have transformed the handling and ride, and they don't create a lot of vibration.

Excellent. Just what I wanted to hear and I guess less so once they bedded in.

Al, understand why people want to do coilovers or just springs first. However personally I don't feel the car is that wobbly on the standard set up so though I'd attack different way round. Time will tell

Glad to see your car is finally taking shape Dave :)
the lads at Monster seem great guys , my car is booked there on the 20th for them to have a look at and do a dyno run , hopefully they might suggest a few things other than a can of petrol and a match lol

if you want to do some data logging that weekend mate let me know should take an hour tops?

Hey Dave, just wondering how much the WALK was to have fitted? Since I got the hpfp done my car seems to be having more trouble getting the power down. After going out in yours, yours just seems so much more planted under hard acceleration compared to mine.

Just round the corner.
Interesting, I could do with checking my cam follower. Might speak to Scott at Monster!
The thread has certainly given my some ideas as what to do with mine. Need to get an proper induction kit, then maybe the HPFP, although still wondering about putting an RS4 FP on to see if that makes any difference.

Dave, are you going to the Derby meet this Wednesday? Wouldn't mind see how your's goes compared to mine with an extra 20 odd BHP.

Forgot to mention - Car now sold!

It has been a great fun car and I still have mixed emotions if I have done the right thing or not. I'm actually regretting it the more I think about it!!

I am sure you will see it up for sale somewhere soon.

Sold it with all the mods on.

The only thing I did not fit was the THS FR3 full set of engine mounts. Think they about £210 new but will put up in the for sale section soon.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention, now own an EVO (pick up Sat Afternoon)

I'll still be on the forums on and off.

Keep modding guys, these cars are cracking motors

Sorry to hear you have sold up dude. Did they ever get to the back of the issue you had?

You will need to sell the parts somewhere else as that section got canned on here due to some scammers and morons.

Seems a shame they don't get their act together on so many issues.

Pics would be good :)

Sorry to hear you've sold up but I hope the evo is a bit fitter than your cupra. Need info on model and colour mate lol.

Also if you fancy having a test against my stage 2+ just give me a message. At the very least take me for a ride in it lol!
