Irremovable babies handprint on bonnet?!

White spirit paint safe then?

As above and for number of years I have used the stuff on tar before cleaning down and re waxing. It comes off a treat (minimal application - i.e. minimal potential rubbing damage) and nothing untoward on the paintwork either.

the bonnet looks fooked to me anyway with the nice dent/crease in the corner of it

Yeah I've recently been involved in an accident, my cars literally just been taken away 10 minutes ago to get repaired, they said they'll give it a good clean and wax so we'll see if the handprint is still there when I get my car back!
