I've got a March 2012 Leon FR 2.0tdi CR 170 DSG, thought I'd post some MPG figures

Just driven steady the last tank of fuel and got 581 miles before I needed to fill up with 100 miles to go according to the fuel computer. To fill to the brim took 48.26 litres or 10.61 gallons, which equates to 54.75mpg, the fuel computer lied and claimed 56mpg but not too far off. With a 55 litres tank that would give a theoretical range of 662 miles.

I have to say though that usually i get around 500 miles to tank which works out to aroung 45mpg, not great but I think combined with a DSG it's normal.

I will add that in my old passat, a 2008 1.9tdi saloon I used to get 55mpg average and driven like 'Miss Daisy' like I just did with the leon I could get close to 65mpg. It was quite a bit slower than the leon with 105bhp vs the leons 168bhp but still that's quite a big difference considering it's a larger car.....the Leon's way more fun though.

I'm averaging 38 atm but I do deliveries on a daily basis and a 4 mile round trip might have 5 drops and several lights and junctions.

Alternatively

I can set off from cold and do a 4 mile round trip to the skip with minimal lights/stops and get 45- 50.

Yesterday driving 25 miles (90% motorway) in mainly dense fog I got 45 there and 50 back.

Sticking to speed limits makes a lot of difference. I am also sure the HEKO wind deflectors steal some mpg, thinking of removing them now I'm a none smoker.

This is great! Even 45 MPG is still much better than my numbers.
And yours is FR.
Newer car does make a difference!

It all depends on how heavy your foot is... it takes a lot of concentration and discipline to get the most out of your tank. I have a CR170 and average around 40-50mpg and I am sure I could hit the 55 combined mark if being very careful.
