is premium petrol worth putting in my 1.6?

I travel 6 miles to work and 4 to my girlfrinds so most of my journeys are dead short and around town and I get 35mpg (min) from a tank. I also appear to have a lead block where my right foot should be ;) If I throw in some long motorway journeys I can get 40, my best was around 45 from a tank.

To be getting 30mpg out of yours indicates something isn't up to scratch with the car, but then I'm not expert so I could be talking crap

I have a 1.6 leon, for usual driving i get about 70 miles per £10/10 litres. If i have a bit of a heavy foot it drops down to around 60 miles. Stick 10 litres in when the fuel light comes on, drive sensibly and report back with how many miles you get!
