Hi,i was inspecting my boost pipes for splits etc etc the other day for a fault that i had discussed on another section of this site and was quite concerned about the amount of oil in my turbo pipes.

I have seen loads of golf tdi's,leon tdi's with oil in there boost pipes and seems quite common but the amount of carbonized oil around the throttle body was heavy and clogged,i know my turbo is in good nick so checked the pipe that runs from the cam cover to the turbo inlet pipe and it has plenty of fresh oil in it so this could be a big cause of oil entering the turbo.

I have always had petrol turbo cars before and have always had a catch can system to take any crank pressure oil/fumes away from turbo pipes to keep the turbo clean,is this ok to do on the diesels as this is my first diesel.

Is it a pointless excersise in the diesel world or would it help the vehicle having a cleaner burn without oil running in with it through the inlet?????????.

Any info on if this mod has been done or not would be great.:)

Many thanks in advance:)
