Is this a forge blow off valve? Help please

Hi all,

I recently bought a Cupra, is this a forge blow off valve? (The silver bit under the diverter valve.)

If it is I have heard they adversely affect boost so was thinking of taking it off.

What's best to do?

Looks to me like a spacer. I don't have one, but from what I've read they offer no performance benefit, just make more noise. If you want to take it off, its only 4 bolts.

People do say they can leak boost and you're best to get rid.

Stupid spacer thing that needs binning

You'll need new (shorter) bolts though, so get some genuine ones from a dealer before removing

Hi guys, thanks for the replies. I have bought some shorter bolts from TPS (at an extortionate price) and it's coming off tonight!
