Hey lads im looking at this Ibiza Cupra im just wondering if he is on here? Any of you know any background of this car? ive noticed it for sale a few times before cheers

It was build by RashCupra oh here (not been on here for a very long time though), then sold to a guy in Carlisle and was then for sale on Pistonheads for ages. Guess its been sold again..

And its not running 350bhp, more like 320-330bhp....

i was thinking the same he has a print out saying 349bhp, what does it go like? it a clean car? well looked after?

I saw a video of it do a 4.3 0-60 it was in his thread! It will be a very quick car but i dunno why people keep selling it on maybe its a bit costly to run?

Yea, it did make 350 on its first map but the mapping wasn't good. Was them mapped again and made a more realistic (for the turbo its running) 320-330bhp..

It should go well with the kit its got on it..

Its come up for sale at least 3 times since i first started looking at ibizas over a year and half ago. I reckon itl just keep having costly problems so its getting sold on. IHI on standard engine isnt cool for a long period of time really, i looked at doing it when a local lad was selling his ihi bits. It will need a built engine.

Its a lovely looking car and looks impressive on paper, therefore people buy it but dont think about the extra care and looking after itl need. Would be good to see an enthusiast take it on and carry on the legend!

it will drink fuel, rash sold it to someone then carlise pete had it then kyle wilcox bought iirc

ye is 328bhp if i read rash thread correctly it mad 349 before but the map wernt the best, he then had it mapped with better power through the rev range think it held 328bhp for a while rather than the old map peaking at 349bhp for a split secand

it seems a clean ar though

unlucky though that, he says that people have had alot more power and not had any trouble, just one of them things, he had the car sorted but depends i the other owners had the respect and sense to look after it and keep on top of the running etc

He was talking about the gearbox when he said that. I wouldnt be trusting that engine one bit with 330ftlbs torque. Looks like he was wanting to do the internals but just lost the love for it

Think you should get it and carry it on

i was always under the impression the internals had been changed.

just found it on pistonheads and there is no mention of internals being changed im quite shocked it hasnt had them done considering how everyone always refers to rashcupras car. the internals have done pretty well really although i dont know what the mileage was when he sold it originally.
