Issues with coding keys to immobiliser

Yep any Timpsons can do them. I got mine done from:

It was about £10 but I know this is steep compared to other prices people have paid £4-£6. Last minute and in the area rushed job. Tried to charge me £14 as well but I already confirmed £10 over the phone

i'm in the position of needing to organise a 2nd key and transponder etc.
Did you get yours working? an dif so which method, so i don't make a mess when i do mine.

Just got two new transponders yesterday so will try it out soon and let you know how i get on.

I think ill use the working original (in the flip key) and try code the two new transponders in the two original keys.
But i still dont know about the stored value thing and am a bit nervous about it.
Does the stored value indicate the number of extra keys to be coded other than the original or include this?
Anyone not getting the correct number to be stored?

Yay - got my spare blade cut at last !!

Went to a key cutting place inside Taskers

All fully working now - I just need the SEAT badge for the back of the key - anyone got any lying around spare ?

i wouldnt worry about the stored value (if you look at the value for the amount of remote fobs programmed to the car mine always says "1" even when i had 3 or 4 programmed to the car)

In case you are interested.
I got two new transponders.
Went through the normal process, entered stored value of 3 (for 3 keys) and it saved 1.
But I continued on and it matched my original key plus the two new transponder keys.
All went very smoothly with no issue and no i have three kays for the car.

I've read a reasonable amount about this, and I'm under the assumption that you need a brand new transponder to code a used key from eBay. I got mine from www.hickleyvaltone.com

I've not yet got round to coding it in though

Could you give me the part number of the transponder you ordered?

Just want to make sure i get the right one!

Hey, anybody no how to program a key to to my car its a seat ibiza sport 57reg and have tryed most methods with no luck! anyone could give me instrutions on how to do this, would be most grateful.

Its so when u press the unlock button or the lock button on the key it works, have tyred differnet methods all with no luck.
