Nope the original feed is in from the front grille and this is redundant in the ITG fit
where does the air that hits the front grille go then?

Nope the original feed is in from the front grille and this is redundant in the ITG fit
where does the air that hits the front grille go then?
Just goes straight into the engine bay hence why I'm considering either using that original feed to vent under the new heat shield but more logically is to vent from the lower bumper / fog light grille which is what I will do when get round to it
ahhh, so it is directed onto the non-filter side of the intake filter...?
mate, ITG are experts in the filter engineering field and their sole area of expertise is on the filters and intake systems on cars and motorsport vehicles. They know what they are doing, and the ITG has been proven to work without any issues, on the Cupra, S3, GTi and vRS without the extra cold air feeds, and has given consitently high gains.
Also take into consideration That andy@ITG used REVO's demo cupra as the guinea pig for this intake, with extensive dyno testing and never used any extra cold air feed. REVO now use this on their car over all the other potential intakes money could buy(and lets be fair money isnt an issue for them)and recommend it to other REVO users.
i think you are looking into this way to much, however another cold air feed will never be a problem. it can only do good, but is it required........ i think there is plenty of proof that it isnt.
Without trying to sound critical of a product or a company, I find it interesting Revo claim 15g/s more air flow with the ITG over any other filter, yet on the r/r, ITG cars are no better than cars with Dbilas, VF, Evoms etc.
Ive already stated why its not used its pants!!! ITG have done testing and desided it wasnt werth the bother. Andy@ITG said if your gonna put a feed to the filter theres loads of air volume around the lower fog light area or by the k1's side vent thingy.
Email ITG if you want more info lads.
I have
Will get round to doing my DIY job soon. Not convinced it will make much more difference but it can't hurt. At moment just toying with different options and ducts as want a neat job.
As said on the K1 (and where I will be venting mine from) I will use the side skirt vent.
If get chance will take to bits at weekend
Thanks mate.Owen i would like to have dual cone filter but the Evoms pipe has a 4" Venturi opening that requires the specific cone.
The pipe is 3" perfect fit for the opening up to the engine bay. I dont know if a 4" pipe would fit?
