Blue for economical and orange for shortest distance. You can disable the three route option so it just plans the fastest route automatically.

Sorry, you have missed the point.
You leave the car at night with the light switch on headlights.
The headlights go out; fine.
Next day, probably bright and sunny, you get in the car and drive off totally unaware that your headlights are on dipped beam.
You can't see the switch, because it's hidden by your right hand on the wheel.
Illegal to drive on dipped beam in bright conditions.
Totally ridiculous that there is no headlights on audible warning.

To add to this there is no warning you have your foglights on. You can't see the switch, because it's hidden by your right hand on the wheel.

You do realise you can turn the screen off completely after 'x' seconds of inactivity? It's a good setting let down by the fact that it isn't persistent, you need to enable it every time you restart the car.

So annoying, i was like "Hmm, interesting maybe i cancelled it and forgot", then after few rides i saw it got reset, quite annoying.

It only makes sense to keep your settings checked unless you mark some setting to forget them.. but who am i against VW's software engineers. :D

Absolutely, but not front fog's.
Tony

Not got fronts
Used to have indicator lights for both on my old C5. Mind you , the French managed to get the dipping the mirror when in reverse and heating at the same time bit sorted, something which 'ze Germans' haven't. ;)

I used to get frustrated by the lack of indicators for front fogs and dipped beam in my mk2. But in my Mk3 I don't appear to have the same problem, I'm able to see the lighting controller and it's indicators from my driving position... Maybe I've got it setup weirdly!?

When head lights are on, the 2 red LED's in the roof, what's the point.
Gear shift indicator, can vary when to change up, other cars I have had always advised to change up at the same rev's no matter how hard I accelerated.

Its true that some other cars indicate when to shift based purely off the amount of revs. However the Leon advises you based off fuel consumption and economy. Isn't that a good thing?

You can have the front fogs on without the rear one. Just not the rear fog without the front.

My hands on the wheel are generally 9 to 3, so I can't see the lighting switch, hence my desire for the usual dash indicator lights in my previous cars.

After a week with my FR184, some thoughts.

Opening the door after its rained results in more water dropping into the car and onto the door panel than I would expect.
USB/AUX sockets, no backlight so you can see where they are at night.
Seats are narrow. Im slim but fatties might not fit.
Rear suspension seems to make more noise than front.
Find myself in too higher gear often.
Slight flat spot at around 1400rpm.
Slight passenger door trim rattle.

Over all though i'm very happy. Heated Alcantara seats are lovely in the morning. Nice firm but balanced ride. Getting high 50s av mpg all the time.

I am sick to death of the slow nav and the map zooming in and out whenever it likes! Infact it annoys me so much I may reject the car as those features are unusable

I took it back for said flat spot, they told me it was turbo lag
