Jabbasport Heat Shield owners - connecting bar

Just got mine through looks a fab bit of kit just the job one question tho the connecting bar that comes with it where is that supposed to go to looked through some readers ride threads some people have it attached and some do not?

it goes in the hole in the heat shield and then into the threaded tab on the strut top

I have mine attached. I have mine connected below the strut caps, lower down where the airbox was, there is a little hole where it is partly attached to (I think, I can't remember). Its hard to explain so apologies if not of any help at all!

you can just see it doen the back of the filter
and it goes into where this bolt arrow no'2 is hope this helps

I got my heat shield through the other day but I'm gonna paint it black. Where do you get the fabric that goes found the edging as I wanna change it to red.

got mine on and fitted friday its a good bit of kit and i found where the connecting bar goes through! thanks all great help!
