£125 for a new key fob. Seems really steep. I suppose most of that went on labour trying to find out if it was the sensor or the actual fob, well all of 10 mins probably lol! Bloomin stealers. I pick the car up in the morning so will look at the invoice. also when i dropped mi car off this morning, they had a cupra in the showroom. Had a sit in it and is it me or the seats felt more comfortable and there the same as min apart from the material.

the cupra has the same seats as any as they're all sport style...unless the bolsters are set up differently according to year, as the Cupra I sat in felt exactly like mine, just like you say the material/colour was different.
£125 for a new key fob, thats rather expensive...surely they must of done some investigation work, tryin to locate the problem to come up with that price. probs all they've done is change the battery! lol

Well

FR thats what i did before i took the car in and it didn't work. So when i took it in this morning they took the key off me and took it into the fitting bay. Then they came back to me with the led on the key continuosly flashing saying that it shouldn't do that lol and that i needed a whole new fob. when i dropped the car off the service indicator turned on with the spanner symbol. How much do u reckon a service at 52K will cost me??

you can turn that spanner sign out yourself ;) unless it actually due a service (every 10k miles or every year) <which ever 1 first! a garage should always quote you before doing the work!!!!

£125 for a new key fob. Seems really steep.

I paid a similar figure for a new key fob for my previous car (a mk2 clio).

With mine apparantly the frequency that the chip inside it immited to turn off the immobiliser had gone out of tune. Either way It couldn't turn the car's immobiliser off and so couldn't start the engine  !

Had to wait over a week for for the stealers to get a replacement from France!

had to replace a mazda key today at work and was about same price too apparantly according to parts dept. :-o
