Got it from a Seat franchised dealer, and it was on the Seat website as an approved used vehicle, and the previous registered keeper was Seat UK so I don't suspect anything dodgy about it, but:

Is everyones service book in km rather than miles?

Dealer told me that there is the remainder of 3 years warranty and 3 years AA cover. I have been given nothing in writing to back this up. Dealer says the AA phone number should be in the service book somewhere and I just phone that if necessary. I can't see it though, maybe I'm going blind?

If anyone else has bought this way and can shed any light on it I'd be grateful.

The only manufacturer approved used car I've ever bought before was a Toyota, and in comparison that seemed so much better organised.

The information regarding warranty and road cover is in the Customer Care Guide which shoud be in the book pack. Worth a good read through this as it explains what is and isn't covered and claims procedure as well as the telephone number for assistance.

The AA cover is 2 years from new though not 3.

Number if you can't find it is 0800 26 26 22

Everyone I've seen has said KM, we usually just cross it out and write miles in.

I'd give your dealer a call and see if they have a spare customer care guide as they're usefull things to have. Goes through all the warranty information which can be important should you have any problems.

Enjoy your new car and Merry Christmas
