As Alax says, not worth it. Filters like that with a enclosure are restrictive.

You would be better off getting a cheapo open cone filter and use the rest of the cash and get e Whiteline rear ARB :D

This is the filter we are using clicky.

Not sure what they are rated at but I'm pulling some good g/s numbers and another member is using one on a hybrid k03 so they doo the job.

have never rated the k&n, im blinkered towards bmc lol! got one on my tdi and it made alot of difference from the de-restricted airbox & green panel. haven't tried an open cone yet, do ibiza's have any heatsoak issues?

The BMC's are very restrictive too....

personally have always rated them! but then again have had bullet straight cold air feeds to them. might have to get mine put on a reliable rolling road to see what its running to compare against other systems and if an open cone will benefit me!

You wont get any problem with heat soak by having a open cone filter if you have a mk4 cupra as the SS FMIC is so good. Even on very hot days I stil get very low intake temps (27C when just crusing).

BMC's are meant to be restrictive from anout 250bhp iirc.

right i see, might be worth a day's experimentation then :) im only standard atm apart from the bmc & egr delete!

Do you have vag-com? It would be good to see air flow logs with the BMC on and then with a open cone filter on.

no i don't, one of my mates has so might be worth borrowing and seeing what can be found out :)

Had the Apollo and found that the open cone flowed about 10g/s more...Don't care about hot air from the engine bay as I have fashioned a nice heat shield and I have WMI which leads to IATS of nearly 20deg on WOT...

Are you running WMI on the standard k03s turbo, Yosh?

Have you advanced the timing any?

Hey Damien yes I am...Have advanced timing a further 6degrees above the Unitronic Stg2 file and have also sorted the fuelling for the current setup...Have done this with Unisettings...drop me a mail if you would like to see some logs etc ;) [email protected]

Sounds very good mate :)

What % meth are you running?

Something I will prob look at after I get my exhaust.

im running a Jetex universal cone filter on mine.....£50ish...no complaints, just need to run a better cold air feed!

You dont realy need a cold air feed due to the efficiency of the Seat Sport front mount intercooler.

No probs bud, I have found (after extensive loggin) that 65% meth: 35% distilled water works best! Keep me posted and shot me a mail if you need any info

65% meth  never seen anyone using any more then 50/50.

You should be able to dial in a shed load of timing with that amount of meth.

Was it mapped with the meth on?
