does it really increase performence and full consumption?

the car is standart right now with (no remap)

they quote a small increase in power - not sure about fuel consumption

they make quite a nice roar rasp

I used to have - up for sale in the wanted section if your interested - not sure if its fits your car though - im just checking it now

I replaced mine with a bmc cda - closed cone filter - bit quieter

Apparently so! I asked this same question as ive just bought a Cupra TDi and the feedback was the remap is a must. Everybody said that a new clutch is needed to cope with the extra torque tho but I think this is just the TDi as the increase is so drastic! I found a good site that does most remaps for around £200 so dunno if its any good to you. Also if your in the yorkshire area they will come to you and do it.

www . remapscience . co.uk ive had to put gaps between the dots coz it wont let me post a url lol.

Says on that site you would get an extra 42 BHP! Not to be sniffed at that like!

Any uprated air filter will increase power and increase mpg, but if it`s just a replacement panel filter then you may not notice the difference. Mine seemed a little more responsive and free-revving after fitting a k+n panel filer into the standard airbox (130tdi) - but then I did fit a 160 intake at the same time.

Or do you mean a full induction kit (cone filter)? This would certainly make it louder, but I can`t comment on power increases as I`ve never fitted a full induction kit to any of my cars.
