K03 Hybrid

Im wanting to chnage my turbo very soon but want it be a simple job when it goes into the garage.

Think if get a k03 hybrid turbo, whats the max capabilites of them and how much do the fetch?

Prob cheaper to go bonafide k04 than any of the hybrid kits out there. Speak to alex at TTS.

No its a k03 housing with k04 internals turbo.

Is that a straight bolt on to the down pipe and manifold (may upgrade manifold tough)? Ihave the 6speed geabox and dont want the GTR eliminator due issue with the box

No its a k03 housing with k04 internals turbo.

that sounds like a plan,just a pain getting that bloody turbo of again!!how reliable is this tho??guessing its cheaper than swapping to a k04 as you keep the existing downpipe etc.
would still need a remap tho?? how many people have done this as it doesnt apear to be too common?

Well the k03 hybrids are expensive cheapest I have heard of is £600 but normally more like £1000 so a proper k04 convertion will only set you back a little more if any once you have factored for the extra bits you need for the k03 hybrid to give the same as a k04.

Nice turbo but thats not gonna fit a 1.8T without alo of work internally and externally.

Been done and not that bad if you buy the right bits but very expensive.

straight swap, good for circa 300bhp with the right mods in place
