Hi all, i was just wondering if anyone has had a simular problem or can explain what is happenning? Well....

i just upgraded my turbo to a ko3s from ko3 i have NOT yet had it re-mapped, the turbo was brand new etc. so no play in shafts or anything like that.
Basically when i hit peak boost (approx 21 psi) just before it gets ther it sometimes "stutters" or "sneezes" on spool up  will still reach peak just sort of cuts boost then carries on, on the way up there (hope this makes sense) nothing else was changed so not too sure what to think is this simply because it is not mapped yet? or something else you guys could help me with? thanks. Peter

tbh m8 you shouldnt be nailing it about unmapped anyway, thats just asking for trouble!it maybe your car trying to hold boost back as it spooling more air faster ect.

that is just a guess tho i got to say! my advice is get it mapped or your damage something!

i ran revo stage 1 on my ko3s when i got it fitted. Gave it abit of a blast on my private road when i got it fitted, but that was just to see it was working fine. I wouldnt recommend ragging it though until its properly mapped, dont want tp run the risk of it running lean!

Could just be a mapping issue mate. Let us know if it gets better once mapped up.

i don;t agree at all. Ive been driving my K03s on standard map for about 8 months without any problems relating back to turbo or map.

If it stutters, I would be looking at your hoses and anything else you played with during install of the K03s.

did you bung up the old vac hose that used to go to the actuator? as on k03 was 2 vac hoses going to actuator, on k03s is only one! so needs bunging, just a thought ;)

and should be fine on standard map, the golfs etc that come with them all run ok :cartman: and as reuvers said, he has been running his for ages now

i completely removed the second vac line as i did the n249 bypass with resistors in the end but it had this problem before i did the bypass thought it could be the n249 messing about so removed it but no better, it is for its remap on the 6th and im sure all the pipes are good and tight as replaced most with silicone ones??? the only thing i can think of is the pipe running to the actuator doesnt have a clip or tie on it could this be it? its been suggested on here and also by a friend that it could be the n75 views???

Reading your sig, I stand by my point even more, seeing as you already have stage 1. That means you're already hitting boosts above 1 bar and that the difference to stage 2 will be small (maybe 15-30hp due to the rest of your mods.)

Hence the fact Revo only asks 50 quid for going from stage 1 to stage 2.
