not tried the vag com yet al will do tom and see what happens the immobiliser is sorted as i just took it out of one fob and put it into another all works fine like i've said its just getting the remote to work with the car thats doing my head in lol

Yeah - fleabay to the rescue! The seller charged an extortionate price (£7.99 postage for a key... ), but I wanted the damn thing so much I just paid anyway - now I'm over the moon! Just need to locate the Seat badge now...

And yes, you most certainly did help!

@ Arnolfini, what was the part number of the flip key you used? seems you had exactly the same problem I have, and your originla key is the same code as mine!

Moff have a look at this, was the only method that worked for me when I got my new Flipkey.
You'll need 3 keys in total to make it work...

Has there been any reasons why we might not be able to do this??

I have the same key mate and want a flip one!

Hi folks, sorry to bring this issue up again.
I had no probs finding and programming a flip key for my leon, but my missus has just bought a vw beetle and only has one key and want to get another
The code on her key is HLO 1JO 959 753 P
Not sure if i can buy a key from ebay with a different last letter or letters eg AH cos i cant find a key with a letter P at the end of the code.
I didnt have to reprogram the transponder in my key as took the one out of the spare non button key, but will have to match a new transponder to this one. Think i have a virgin one but how difficult is it to do with Vag-Com (got the lead coming next week and have the software but never used it)?
Any info or help will be appreciated.
