Hi. A few months back the keyless system on my 2022 Formentor stopped working. It was due a service so I left it, but then suddenly the car refused to recognise the keys and was disabled. The emergency key way of starting did not work either. I had to get it towed to the dealer. They say that the error was the cause of the car shutting down, but all they did was fit a new sensor in the passenger door handle.
Their service was terrible and they had the car for 4 weeks.
Just over a month later the same thing has happened. I do not want to use the authorised dealer again, but can't get the car in to an independent until 21st September. I am really worried that the car will disable again in the intervening period.
Can anybody advise me if this is likely, as I may have to think about hiring a car rather than be stranded again.
