WHAT A FRICKING NIGHTMARE!!!

My Dad is currently using my car whilst i take advantage of his Diesel Golf, he's just called me to say he has locked the keys in the car.

He opened the car and put the key in the ignition then realised he left something in work so nipped back in whilst leaving the keys in the ignition, when he came back the car has locked itself.......How has this happened?

I know the car locks itself if i unlock it but dont open the doors.

Good job i have a spare key lol!!!

Parents ay!!

The LEon suffers from the sam problem as the mk4 golf. Microswitch in the locking mechanism and the CCM doent reconise the door open hence arming it again. It will be a dry solder joint thats come away on the circuit either you will need to strip the lock and redolder or change the lock itself.
