knocking noise

from drivers side front,i thought it might be a ball joint but a mate said that the anti roll bar bushes are known for going is this right ???has any 1 had to replace there arb bushes????its a 99 v5

There is an inherrant MkIV chassis prob with the Wishbone bushes. They commonly tear. not sure the ARB are known for going too, but the knocking could definately be them.
can you get underneath to have a good look?

The mk4 chassis is notorious for ARB bushes. Measure the ARB accurately before getting the new ones as there are 2 different sizes
