Hey folks, I’ve got a 2021 Cupra Formentor 1.4 e-Hybrid (~60k km). On cold starts with temperature around 13•C, the petrol engine makes a noticeable tapping/knocking sound. It only goes away after revving a couple of times or driving for 2–3 minutes. Once warm, it’s totally fine.
Running 0W-20 VW 508 spec oil (just changed), new spark plugs, no fault codes.
Anyone else with this engine/PHEV experienced the same? Normal piston slap/lifters, or should I be worried long-term?
