what was your estimate power with them? also is there different running characteristics for example noisier engine etc etc

Never tested and always running a rather light map, so 225-240hp and ~480Nm torque. You ahould be able to get around 260-270 with the setup I have, but I won't go that high as this is a 300km/day car..
Engine runs the same, I do have a higher usable rpm range though.

and did you use the stock cams or some tuning ones?

ECU was 400 euros (refurbished). Cam = tuning ones...

In ireland i got that price for an exchange ECU.

good question Stew. Couldn't get an answer, but it does come with a 2yrs warranty on it. I guess they actually test the internal circuits ????
I will probably never know where the fault actually was, but I wanted to be safe...LOL Could easily have been a capacitor in the ECU or one of the transistors that control the injectors???
