See you've taken to being a clean freak with the new car lol. You tried wolfs deioniser yet? The new version is supposed to be as good as iron x but cheaper

Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk 2

I was really close to ordering the wolfs stuff but I settled with the iron x in the end, next on my list is Wolfe body wrap depending on how I get on with the ex-p sealant :) and yeah beck totally lol can't stop cleaning it!

my first attempt at an enhancement/protectioncompletely, forgot to take before pictures so snaps begin after the snow foam.

The method:

Snow foamed using Chemical Guys

2BM wash roughly dried then applied Iron X, quite surprised at the amount of bleeding considering the cars only 4 months old!

tar&glued then clay'd and dried off

applied Poorboys white diamond with a DA then poor boys EX-P left to cure for 1 hour, gloss really starting to show after this! wheels sealed with poor boys wheel seal as well

finally used Dodo juice diamond white, cured for 1 hour, and AG HD wax on the black bits, glass and plastics cleaned and tires dressed

Looks great, I've got the Dodo Juice Diamond White and its great.

Did you use Iron X for the tar?

Used iron x for industrial fallout and a mystery tar & glue remover gifted to me by a local detailer lol :)

As for the dodo diamond white it is truely awesome, I sat and chilled while it was curing and you could gradually see the awesome deep gloss finish happening, it was a refining moment in my life haha :D

Ahh ok, I still need to get a decent tar remover.

Dodo diamond is a great product.

Any more plans?

Not too fussed about lowering tbh, had two lowered cars in the past and i want this car to be function over form :)

Only plans are to get the SC spoiler, wrap the back part of the roof black, SC side skirts and forge blow off spacer... maybe a year or two down the line I'll do the big brake upgrade and the VXR exhaust tip if I've not decided to go mod mental by then lol

Doesn't drop anywhere near enough to catch speed bumps or anything like that mate. You'd need to go silly low on coilovers to get low enough to lose any sort of function. Still loads of ground clearance under the bumpers

It's more the reduction in ride quality i dislike, had my first car on springs and it was horrible, had my second car on coilovers and it was just as bad lol. Only thing I would even consider is a bespoke spring & shock set up :)

No massive reduction in ride quality either in my opinion, the standard setup in pretty hard and was very crashy, the first thing I did after fitting mine was go for a stage over some pretty bumpy back roads to test out the ride and it was surprisingly good. Even tried driving on the cats eyes and that was no different to the standard springs! Feels a little bit firmer going over the big speed ramps but it's not that noticable.

I know what you mean though, but every car's different. I've had some pretty harsh riding car's in the past, the H&R springs I had in my last ibiza were horrendous and only kept them in a few weeks. You really need to get a drive in someone elses to judge it properly

I suppose there's nothing to lose having a shot in someone else's :) did it affect your warranty in anyway?
