i took mine, drove 40ish miles to get there and they fobbed me off because i had already changed the coils at my own expense with genuine OEM coils

That's pants!!! They should be done still. If they have been changed already , then it's because they failed. Failed = faulty = fix problem for nothing. Not rocket science in my eyes , but as already said...... They will do anything to get out of it.

They look at part numbers. They will be replaced if they have the older parts in. Mine has had all newer ones in already so they didn't replace them

Not going to bother taking it down and letting monkeys loose on the car if they won't swap them.
