I always noticed the extra stopping power of the pads over OEM, have you bedded yours in right?
Ask Bill for the specifics, there were some instructions with mine ref a sequence of hard stops (progressively more) to get the pads bedded in.

Warning, regarding EBC disks. I bought the most expensive disks that EBC produce for the LCR (Ultimax grooved), and whilst good on the road they started juddering very badly after only two laps of the nurburgring. Compare this to the standard Brembo disks which I tracked hard and didn't have any such problems.
Until someone has tracked their Leon hard on EBC disks without any problems, I wouldn't recommend any disk they sell at any price, never mind their range of equally shitty pads. Imo go for Brembo or AP Racing disks if you actually intend to drive hard.

Use them .. progressively. They need bedding in, if you granny them you'll glaze the surface.
he did'nt fully bleed your system then did he.
Bedding in is drive to 50-60mph, brake lightly to a near stop and then go again. Repeat with slightly more pedal pressure. Allow a few mins of driving for them to cool off slightly between goes.
Speed up to 60-70mph and brake harder to a near stop and then go again, repeat a couple of times, again allowing some time to cool, then 3rd phase is accalerate to 60-70mph and brake hard a couple of times to a near standstill and then get going again to dissipate the heat. = bedded in
I would advise to you that your disks/pads were'nt bedded in properly and what you got was pad pickup possible which is juddering also.
The ring is not road use tho fella. The EBC disks, are working very well for pretty much everyone, but track use is beyond ANY one piece disk on a heavy LCR.
My S8 juddered badly on its 8-pots, and 370mm RS4 disks @ the ring, but this was not disk warp but pad pickup... which did wear off on progressive laps to be fine. It had been fine on the road for 500miles before hand until the ring took its toll. (its not a road is it, its a racetrack and a long one at that)
the EBC's are working very well for almost everyone.

Is it a problem if he didn't bleed them properly other than the fact that there is still some of the old fluid in the system? I have not noticed any extra pedal travel or anything.
I would add to this. If you don't drive your LCR like a loony much of the time, there really isn't a need for expensive discs and pads. I don't know what I've got on the front of mine, but Im pretty sure they're cheap shite.
But, they do the job fine. I got them fading badly once, and only once, and that was when I was driving like a complete bellend round the back roads where I live. Obviously, I never usually drive the car like I stole it, so this isn't a problem for me.

Now obviously, if you really push your car you should totally make sure you've got good kit on there, but I'm just putting another point of view on here.
