Janspeed also take an ignition signal and still come out smooth?

Surely if that was the reason, nobody would use that method as it's so inaccurate, in terms of plotting the power at each stage of the rev range.

What's wrong with the plot Bill just put up?

Edit: Another SCN thread gone waaaayyy off topic

Nothing, well, they are still 'lumpier' than they should be. But as I'm sure you have noted, I'd said all along that this could equally be a problem with the car. I was asking the question, not pointing fingers.

(edit) Also, this is a discussion forum, right? Not a question and answer session. So since we're talking about rolling roads on a thread about rolling road graphs, I'd say we are still on topic.

Thats where he got the pics from. Bugger!

Don't worry they won't be there long:)

Mine was up and down at Awesome - I went there a few times and had boost leaks and all-sorts. It became a bit of a personal cursade to get a decent run there. Managed one or two. Also, Sarah made me a cup of coffee once and "Pearl's" around the corner does fantastic breakfast cobs, plus RR days are great fun :D

I've been in Revo'd, APR'd and CC'd LCRs, and I couldn't tell much of a difference between them. You can't really go wrong with a DECENT tuner, they will all get roughly the same results. If you were tuner B and you were tuning a car that you knew tuner A had already mapped, you'd make damn sure yours could do the same, as long as you were comfortable.

Personally, and I'll get kicked for saying this, I would highly recommend Revo and APR, but my jury is still out on CC. I'd spend my money there, but I'd be wary. I don't know anything about the others, apart from what I've read.

It's as much about backing/customer service as anything else. You could well have an issue that's not related to the map, and it's more than nice to have someone who will help resolve it. I'm always surprised when I ring Kev (not that customers should ring them direct, it's just "I'm special") that he knows all about everyone's car that's having issues - the dealers obviously ring them all the time.

Anyway. I found mine to be excellent. Pulled like a train. I liked the agressive kick the remapped LCR gives, felt like a real turbo'd car. If I wanted smooth, I would've got something else :D It's sold on now, just the other day :sniff:

Top speed? 70 mph, officer. Except it got there much faster when remapped ;)

A remapped one is not going to have a higher top speed (apart from Scottyb's which will do 200mph, aparently). The speed is limited by the revs and the gearing. People have posted about hitting 160 in Germany, which I'm sure is possible as you need less room to do it in a remapped car.

Go and get the trial done, but make sure you can afford the full version, because you'll quickly find that you NEED a remap :D

Hi Feel,

Just a quicky ;), why the uncertainity about CC?......do you know something i dont? (recelty been mapped there).

PM me if you don't want to say on the thread

Cheers mate

First, Sorry for the thread Hi Jack... This will be my last off subject post.

When I wrote our website prior to releasing it onto the net, I use to have a look around and see what pictures I liked the look of so as to let me know what Pictures I needed to take etc.... Your web designer may have done the same and has forgotten to remove them

We had a chat last night lol

He is bringing his camera today :D

Bloomin' eck, the figures for those Awesome graphs are pretty low! Most of the stage 1 cars are just about making 20bhp over stock! Alot of them aren't even making stock power with a remap!

There are too many factors to take into account to say "i have x bhp" Different dyno's will all show different figures. Probably the best figure to go by is the power at the wheels as it won't be influenced as much as the fly figures can be.

Or failing that get a before and after when you get the tuning done so you know the "gains"

Paul

Yup! But unfortunately people don't like to be told that their car might not have gained 50+bhp from a straight remap. Dyno Lottery isn't a myth ;)

Haha so true

There are not many dyno's that i trust to produce repeatable figures that are accurate, there are however many that tell people what they want to see!

Putting My LCR on the rollers on saturday as well as Amanda's X plate Cupra so we will have two graphs to post one from an AMK 210 and the other from an AUQ 180

That's the best dyno of all! As i said before it's nice to see before and after gains but the estimated fly figures are never going to be 100%

WHP figures should be closer
