LCR Service indicator reset

Does anyone know how to reset the service indicator on the display panel on the dash on Cupra Rs?

Don't worry, I am having it serviced by my brother @ BMW and I need to find out, otherwise the service is pointless if it still says service due when it's actually not!!

My LCR is also due for a service (50k) and is flashing at me now..

does the person serviceing the car not reset it?

Yes - usually but as I am not taking it to Seat to pay their prices, my brother who works for BMW who is servicing it will reset it for me, but as he is unfamiliar with Seats, he is unsure how this is achieved.

Does it not say it in the hand book, it does in my wifes 307...?

I think this is it mate


turn on key to LIGHTS

press trip in AND HOLD

still holding turn key off

then back on to lights on

release then turn to right

and hold intil you see SERVICE in screen ~(approx 5 secs)

should then be reset



or


Reset it via VAG COM

I think its like this- make sure ignition is off. Turn the little black knob on the right (the trip counter reset) turn it to the right. Turn ignition on. Keep holding it for a few seconds. Ignition off. Light should now be off.
