lcr servicing dealine?

hi all,
my car is due a service in 200 miles as it says on the computer when you turn it on,
but in the book it has another 400mile left and its stamped on the door pillar this too.
do they set it like this in order to get you to know early or do you think its a genuine mistake?and its been set wrong?
would my warranty be void if i go over this period?

Probably wasnt reset at the PDI or last service I wouldn't worry about it

From my experience they are set to come up with "service" 500 miles before it's due. To that point it counts from 2,000 in blocks of 100 until it gets there.

I think the idea is to give you 500 miles to book it in.

The service indicator is based on 15000 Km = 9373 miles, so it comes on a little earlier then the 10000 mile service interval used in the UK.

And for warranty purposes, you get 999 miles grace anyway, so if you don't get you're 10k service done until 10891, its not the end of the world.
