Put the top edge in first,
then Push back flush,
then strike with the palm of your hand up into the underside of cover (i.e, strike the bit of the cover facing the ground)

Alternatively get a screwdriver in between the sill and the car, from underneath. Pull the sill towards you (and away from the car) GENTLY, and then put the jacking cover on - this helps clip it into place.

I made the fitter at my local tyre place look very stupid a couple of weeks ago with these wee things..... let him play about with the covers for 5 mins before showing him how to fit it.
Line the outer edge up, push back, and squeeze the inner edge into place - doddle!
