G'day!

Could anyone tell me what the little push button is down on the drivers side (maybe somthing to do with the alarm) beside the pump handle for the seat is, i only ask because mine fell out and the clip is bust, i'm not sure what part to order or even ask for. Couldn't find it in the book either??

to turn off the alarm interior sensors.

It does not do this permanently, you would need to do it each time you wanted to use this feature.

Just to warn you, as its been asked many many times before, id expect some silly comments from here onwards. :)

 Firstly apologies if its been repeated, did a search for it but could find it.

Does it give any indication if its on/off as mine didn't, will do a search now to find the part number (unless somone already has it,) as mine is currently sitting in the ash tray....looks like one of the small retaining clips is broken.

Can't remember if it maybe lights up if you press it as I don't recall ever using it.Mine did fall out one time too but managed to fit it back in.

Don't need a boost button....fast enough.........do you...... :p Ha ha, I don't think either of them sujestions are a bad idea, maybe someone should put them to SEAT!

Sorry mate, but I did do a few searches, but as i hadn't got a clue what it was, i was clutching at straws, and also i did go through the book but didn't see anything that could answer my question unless i missed it.

Last thing i'm wanting to do is ask a question which people have asked already and got the answers to as its a waste of everyones time and of my own time waiting for replies. Not everyone comes on here deliberatly asking daft questions.

dont worry mate.

It would of lit up when the ignition was on, but due to its position and that it didnt light up much its very hard to see this.

The alarm should be defaulted to having the interior sensors on at the moment.
Although, now i think if it, we know that some seats are delivered with the alarm sensors turned off!

I see, would it be a VAG-COM job to enable the sensors or can i use the button itself (after i get a new one that is)

Im not saying the sensors are definately not enabled, from what i know some were some not.
But yes, vagcom would be used to select preferences and for setting such as this.

If the sensors are enabled they would default to being active and would only be off if you press the button when leaving the car. They return to default setting when you next use the car.

Not sure how up on vag-com you are, you change change a number of things, including auto locking, alrm chirps, alarm sound even.. (asia setting is funny).

Im sure the info you need for this is on the site somewhere :)

Yeah still learning the vag-com, was an ebay job. Will defo do a search for the vag com as i know there are shed loads of good threads.

Thanks for your help guys!

Ross Tech is pretty handy for VAG COM info, really usefull bit bit of kit.
AFAIK the sensors for the interior are always on unless you press the button to switch them off. I'm prob wrong but someone will back me up or correct me soon enough.
