Hi!

A chap in here pointed out for me that I shouldnt be running with the NGK BKR7E R and be using the stock ones.

But isnt it suggested to use a colder plugs with a remap? Or will the stock, (which I saw rated to 250hp) be fine, as long as they are changed often?

Another question! Is is OK to clean "new" spark plugs for carbon deposits?

Or should I just go for new ones? (6000km old, running lean for the first 3000km)

Stick with the standard plugs, unless you are getting problems.

I've had my map for 2.5 years now and I only changed my plugs on the last service, that was because they were due and not because they needed changing. Done about 25k miles with them.

PFR6Q is standard plug (NGK) if you want the original one back in

a lot of higher boost car benefit from running colder (higher number) plugs, sell some up to 9/10 on some serious cars

personally i would stick with what you are using as looking at the pic they seem to be fine and running ok - standard 6's usually come out of some with a more orange colour which is just as good so best of both world's really

the PFR (platinum) is a tougher material mainly designed for longer servicing schedules

So when I change them around 12.000 km, I could just stick with the BKR7E R? The car run fine, I just discovered my car was running lean, so I thought some new ones/cleaned one would be better, to start from a "fresh"...

I know it been a while this thread was ongoing, but, what bout the insulation on these plugs? Isnt they a bit burnt/heated?
