my car looks stupid as it need lowering but really cant decide what to get , do i go for cheapish or top of the range ..........??

FK are decent spec budget coilovers, but as above, weitec or AP are a bit more, but better quality.

I would recommend weitec or kw V1 coil overs , if you can't afford them ,go for AP Racing

I have been offered some
V1 's but they are off a mk4 golf .... Will they fit ?

They will fit, but find out what engine was in the car as if it a oil burner the springs might be abit stronger as it heavier a 1.8T

They should fit fine then if they are from a mk4 1.8T

Running AP's here for about 6 months. Zero issues. Cost me under £400 fitted.

They are made from the same parts as the Weitec's and share bits with the KW's.

Ask AmD, they will tell you which one's they've had least warranty problems with.. Begin's with 'A...

Depends how much you want to spend, Had AP ones fitted to mine for about 9 months and after a while they seized and i personally thought the ride wasnt too great either, Youll find the ride is very hard. I now have Bilstein PSS10's and the ride is second to none!
